More than 8 million tourists visit the island of Mallorca every year. They are located on the popular beaches such as S’Arenal and Magaluf. But the island has more than enough coastline to get around the crowd. Small bays where you can only get to with your own transport, or secluded beaches where you mainly find the locals. In our opinion, these are the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca!

cala torta

For those who are not afraid of a dirt road, the beach Cala Torta is definitely recommended. The pyramid-shaped mountains together with the clear blue water make this beach an impressive whole. Definitely a piece of nature to dream away. You can combine a visit to Cala Torta with a visit to the artistic village of Artà. On Tuesdays there is a market here where you can admire a lot of beautiful art. The market is held at Placa del Conqueridor

Cala Mitjana

One of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca, but beware: there are two with the same name! The small-scale and most beautiful Cala Mitjana can be found on the southeast coast and not in the north. The beach is located in a beautiful bay which can only be reached on foot. Park your car near Cala sa Nau and walk for 20 minutes to arrive at this gem. Worth the effort!

Es Trenc

This more than two kilometers long sandy beach is an absolute favorite with many peace seekers. The water is crystal clear and the sand is very fine, which makes you feel like you are on the Asian coasts here. Because the water is quite shallow in the beginning, this is also an ideal beach to go with children. You can park in the adjacent village and on the beach itself is a nice bar with an amazing view over the bay.

Cala Llamp

The crystal clear waters in this rocky area make this beach perfect for snorkelling. This fairly secluded bay has no sandy beach, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. Tip: drive a bit into the mountains from Cala Llamp for a breathtaking view.

Calo des Moro

Located in the southeast of the island, you will find this paradise beach in an otherwise rocky environment. The beach is especially popular with the locals and that makes it all the more fun. Please note that there are no further facilities here, such as a restaurant. This is where you go to marvel at the imposing cliffs around you and of course to take a dip in the bizarrely clear water!

Cap de Formentor

On the way to Cap de Formentor in the northernmost tip of Mallorca, you can’t wait to see. A 13.5 km long road through the mountains with beautiful sea views. But Cap de Formentor itself is the absolute highlight. The view is worth the long drive and on a clear day you can see Menorca for yourself. For the more adventurous, there is a road through the mountains that leads to the lighthouse. A visit to Cap de Formentor can be easily combined with Port de Pollenca, a port city where many famous artists and celebrities seek their rest. Port de Pollenca is also the place from where you can go into the mountains to visit Cap de Formentor.
