Balcony plants should be planted at the end of May when there is no longer any danger of late frost. I was really late and only did it now – in July. Right now I’m in the process of pretending my apartment again and of course the balcony is a very important part! As I continue to search for balcony tips to make it really beautiful, I turned my attention first to balcony flowers . Last year I sowed grill herbs .
Plant balcony flowers correctly
In order for the flowers to grow well, they must of course be planted correctly. That is how it goes:
- Prepare boxes : empty and clean – limescale will disappear with a little vinegar
- Buying flowers : For 80cm about four plants, for 40cm two are enough
- Preparing the flowers : The flowers take root better when they are well moistened. So put it in a bowl of water for a moment!
- Fill flower boxes halfway with soil
- insert flowers
- refill soil
- Water adequately
Very important now: Water in the evening and in the morning. Just not when the sun is really beating down on it!
Tips for the balcony: Decorate with flowers
Every flower has different needs. My balcony is very sunny, so I have to be careful about what is suitable. I planted a lot of lavender because it tolerates the heat very well and smells extremely good! In general, Mediterranean plants are very suitable. Tip when traveling: water storage boxes provide the plants with water for several days.
In the near future I would like to decorate my balcony even more and also wanted to dry a few bushes and a bouquet of flowers . So I thought about ordering or buying a particularly beautiful bouquet, letting it dry and putting it in a vase. Bouquets are also wonderful to look at dried! So you can use it for a long time and don’t have to dispose of it after a short time.
